Preschool
Swim Lessons are open to all children, ages 6 months-5 years. Classes
are progressive, 30 minutes in length and taught year round. View

suited to your child's ability.
In this class, parents will learn methods of working with
their child to encourage water adjustment, self-confidence, basic swimming
skills, and safety in and around the water. Children must wear tight-fitting
plastic pants or swim diapers.
This class is suited for children who have no previous swimming
experience. Focus is on water adjustment including putting their face
in the water, blowing bubbles, kicking on front and back with
assistance, prone floating and back floating.
Prior to registration, children should be comfortable putting their head
under water. Focus is on front and back kick with assistance, prone
floating, back floating and paddling 20 feet with a float belt and 5 feet
without.
Prior to registration, children should be able to swim independently wiht
their face in the water for 5 feet. Participants will build on Pike skills,
focus on breathing techniques, introduction to front crawl stroke, kicking while
on their back, the backstroke, and orientation to deep water.
Prior to registration, children should be able to swim independently with
their face in the water and on their backs for 15 feet. This class continues to build
on Eel skills, as well as performing the following skills; rhythmic
breathing, coordination of front crawl and diving.
