trained and experienced instructors will teach your children aquatics safety,
stroke technique and beginning aquatic rescues in a positive and motivating
environment. We encourage all ability levels to join in on the fun and
rewarding experience of learning how to swim.
Polliwog- Level 4This is the beginning level for school-aged children. It gets children acquainted with the pool, the use of flotation devices and floating and introduces basic swim strokes. By the end of this level, children should be comfortable floating and swimming with a flotation device, should know the front, side and back paddle strokes. Children can swim across the shallow end without assistance at the end of this level.
Guppy- Level 5Children continue to practice ad build upon basic skills, now performing more skills without the aid of a flotation device. they are introduced to the front and back crawl, sidestroke, breaststroke and elementary backstroke. Children can swim a length of the pool without assistance at the end of this level.
Minnow- Level 6This is the initial intermediate level. The children further refine the lead-up strokes they have learned as their skills become more like those normally used in swimming.
Fish- Level 7at this level, children work to perform the crawl stroke, elementary backstroke, back crawl stroke and sidestroke with turns. They are introduced tot he butterfly stroke. They learn diving skills and continue learning personal safety and rescue skills and are introduced to the use of a mask and fins.
